February!

February is nearing a close and so it's a time to remember all that has been accomplished this month. Students were reminded to be a good friend during our Valentine's Day Celebration. The students have also been working hard to learn long division in math, summarizing in reading, learning about cells in science, and organization in writing.

Another focus in keeping with Character Counts is that he students have learned that there is a right way to play. They should have fun while keeping in mind that people are the most important part of playing. We have had a great deal of fun practicing this in February!

Looking Ahead:
March is a full month. We will be going on a field trip to Montezuma's Castle the week of March 14. Spring break will take place March 21 - 25 (no school). Parent/teacher conferences will be held the week of March 28. Finally, we will be completing the Arizona academic standards in order to prepare for the AIMS testing that will take place April 11-15. Please don't schedule any appointments that week so that students can complete their AIMS testing.

We're looking forward to a busy Spring!
